The Gayatri Mantra is the most revered verse in the Vedic canon, recited daily for something in the order of three thousand years. It is an appeal for illumination: for the light that reveals things as they are to fall on the mind of the person reciting it. It is traditionally practised at dawn, though nobody will check.

This recording is a clear, unhurried recitation, suitable for repeating along with or simply for letting run in the background.

Reciting along is the practice that changes over time. Five minutes at the start of the day is enough, and consistency matters far more than duration.
