Om Namah Shivaya is among the oldest and most revered mantras in India, addressed to Shiva, who in that tradition represents transformation: the dissolving of what has outlived its usefulness so that something else can take its place. Practitioners reach for it at the points in life where the honest work is letting go rather than holding on.

This recording is a steady recitation, suitable for repeating along with or for leaving to run. Used as a foreground practice you recite with it, which is the traditional method. Played quietly through a room it keeps the space feeling clear.
